OTAVALO
INDIAN MARKET ( SATURDAY - ANY DAY )
Drive to Calderon a small village about 10 km north - east of Quito. This
village is famous because their folkart .We'll continue to the Middle
of the World's first Monument, also will pass by the village of Cayambe
on the way to Otavalo were will visit the famous Indian Market which dates
back to the pre - Inca times. Finally will visit Cotacachi which has good
leather; then will go to Cuicocha the ancient volcanic crater ,famous
for its deep lake found within .Return to Quito.
SAQUISILI
INDIAN MARKET ( THRURSDAY - ANY DAY )
Morning drive south along the "Avenue of the Volcanoes"
with views of The Corazon (4,788 m), North and South Illiniza (5,126 &
5,263 m), Cotopaxi (5,897 m), Rumiñahui (4,712 m), Sincholagua
(4,893 m) Tungurahua (5,016 m) view subject to weather conditions. Arrive
to Saquisili a small village famous for its colorful and complete Thursday
Indian market, which has eight different plazas ,each of which sell specific
goods.
Finally we'll visit Cotopaxi National Park where will visit Limpiopungo
Lagoon (3,800m) found at the base of the volcano perfect place to take
photos. Return to Quito.

INDIAN MARKET ( WEDNESDAY - ANY DAY)
Departing from Quito to the South 90 km (56 miles) aproximatly is Pujili
, a town for its ceramics, many Indians gather there with their llamas
loaded with crops and others goods.Visit the picturesque scene and enjoy
all the taste of real Andean market.Return to Quito.
LATACUNGA
MARKET ( SUNDAY - ANY DAY)
Taking the Avenue of the Volcanoes south Quito pass by the foot hills
of the Highest active Volcano the CotopaxiThe smallcity of Latacunga celebrates
its market day in five plazas.This is a very colourful.Lunch and then
return to Quito.
ZUMBAHUA
INDIAN MARKET ( SUNDAY - ANY DAY)
We start very early in the morning going throegh the Avenue of the Volcanoes.After
we reach the city of Latacunga we turn towards Pujili and then up the
old road towards the coast. In this area we see a really desolated Andean
terrain with occasional shaped in the distance.Zumbahua is a typical mountain
market where llamas and riding horses are traded. The land of origin of
the primitive art of Tigua. A visit to the crater lake Quilotoa is included.
Cold lunch is served. Then we return to Quito |
